Once again, the COMMON Education Foundation has received a $2,000 grant from the Maxava i Foundation. The Maxava i Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of Maxava, a worldwide provider of monitoring, high availability and disaster recover solutions, was established to provide assistance to not-for-profit organizations working to grow and strengthen the IBM i community. iFoundation grants are designed specifically to support user groups in the general promotion and free exchange of knowledge, ideas and skills related to IBM i. Maxava is an IBM Premier Business Partner, and Maxava software is available via SaaS, cloud (DRaaS – Disaster Recovery as a Service and MaaS – Monitoring as a Service), subscription and on-premise software licensing models.
For the Foundation, dedicated to building the i Community through its programs for students and educators, the funding will be used to provide both with supplementary education opportunities through IBM i-focused Conferences as well as other online resources focused on maximizing their learning potential outside of the traditional educational setting.
