Happy Holidays from CEF

This year, the COMMON Education Foundation (CEF) successfully fulfilled our mission of providing pathways to engage and educate a new generation of talent. To do so, we provided sponsorships for student-based events supported by our local USER groups as well as provided a number of scholarships to both educators and students for both the Spring and Fall Conferences. Our yearly donations grew as well as the number of colleges and people served. Overall, a year of achievements! As we usher in 2018, we would be remiss not to express our gratitude to all of those that made 2017 a huge success for the CEF. To all of those individuals who believe in what we do and help make a difference through their time and monetary commitments, thank you. The CEF is filled with an immense amount of gratitude, and the students and educators we already serve are so grateful for the opportunity and the learning experience. 2017 Fall Conference Student Scholarship Recipient

COMMON’s Fall Conference was fantastic. The professionals we met, the insight we received; it was invaluable. Bringing the students, employers, and just everyday employees in the field is such a wonderful thing. I left with a clearer direction to meet demand, and the contacts to follow up. Everyone was so welcoming and forthcoming with information and answers. The speakers were patient and approachable. Even just the relaxed conversations over lunch revealed current project solving problems I never considered. COMMON is such a welcoming immersion into this world.

As we close out 2017 and move into 2018, we will continue our existing efforts, while searching for opportunities to further engage students and educators.
